WOW! REAL CHILE RELLENOS!!! Reviewed by mnchstrlvr on

A native of southern California, I was highly disappointed with "Georgia" Mexican food! I've been to many Mexican restaurants around the Atlanta area and found "less than mediocre" the norm. The worst part for me are the "chile rellenos" they serve in most Georgia Mexican food restaurants. They are nothing but a piece of bell pepper atop a mound of ground beef and topped with melted american cheese product (YUCK!). NOT AT LAS PALMAS! The chile rellenos in their very reasonably priced (under $8) combinations are cheese stuffed poblano peppers coated in egg and fried! The only thing I wish they'd fix is their red sauce recipe, which tastes more tomato-based, than chile-based. Ask for the tomatillo sauce instead and you can't go wrong (if you like spicy). BRAVO LAS PALMAS!!!!!!

I liked this place. The food was good. I wouldn't say it's the best, but it is good. The drinks tasted pretty strong and the service was great. I would go back.

I was dissapointed in this mexican restaurant. Such a beautiful extererior and intererior, but the food is lackluster. Nothing special at all. Staff is friendly. I would love to see this place re vamp their menu to add some new and different dishes, not the same as all the other mexican places.
